    • Is Malacanang Finally Coming Clean on the Bangsamoro Deal?

The Arroyo administration took a further step yesterday in its new found 'transparency' about what really is wrong with widely disputed Bangsamoro ancestral domain draft agreement.

Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita: “in the MoA, as much as possible, they avoided using terms that were not agreeable so much before to the other panel, such as reference to the Constitution and enabling laws.”

The Executive Secretary said a new MoA  must be “acceptable” to the public.

To better understand what he meant by those words, it was disclosed at yesterday’s news briefing in Malacanang that Solicitor General Agnes Devanadera told the Supreme Court that the MoA-AD “must undergo review” as the executive (meaning the President) will “undertake further negotiations that will lead to the crafting of the final peace agreement within the context of our Constitution.”

Is Malacanang finally coming clean and telling the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?

It better be this time, because any further prevarication, stone-walling or lying about just how it has handled the negotiations with the Moro rebels may truly damage the peace process beyond repair.
