Ces Drilon Accepts 3-Month Suspension

This is not a full post. But to properly ’sign off’, as it were, on the Ces Drilon abduction story which this writer broke here at FV, Ces Drilon has accepted a 3-month suspension meted upon her by her mother network ABS-CBN.

This her “violation of company protocol” on news coverages and her “errors in judge” that resulted in the 9-day kidnap-for-ransom drama in Sulu which saw Ces, her two-member camera team, and professor Octavio being held by armed men thought to be Abu Sayyaf elements, first in the area of Bud (Mount) Daho, and letter until their release, in the tri-boundary area of Indanan, Patikul and Talipao, Sulu.

The rest of the details are part of the continuing story where the now suspended Indanan mayor Alvarez Isnaji and son Haider are facing kidnapping charges as principal suspect.

While Ces continues to have her share of detrators, I’d like to say for the record that Drilon, warts and all, retains only our highest admiration.

She’ll be back and await her special report on their ordeal.

    I think based on her own admission, Ces Drilon deserves the 3-month suspension. Anyway, after her ordeal, she also needs the break.

    I wrote A Sudden Change of Breeze and I asked: If Ces Drilon had been successful in producing a scoop with the Abu Sayyaf, will Maria Ressa still give her the same punishment for “disobeying orders” or they came up with the decision for suspension because of what happened?

    yah ryt..maybe miss drilon should accept her 3-month suspension after her nerve wracking experience with those stupid bandits..but 3 months??? prng ang tgal nmn.. i’ve olweiz watch Bandila bcoz of her..i like the way how she delivered the news..she’s very articulate and consistent sa mga pinagsasabi, d gaya nng iba dyan..dinadaan sa ganda, but im not saying that ces is not maganda..she luks fab specially sa hair nya before she was held captive..ang taray nng waves..
    so now back to the topic of this “suspension” thing..you know the reason why she was kidnapped is that she’s going to interview one of the ASG top bandits..and maria ressa knew all of this..eh qng d nmn cnbhan c ms drilon na mgpunta doon eh hndi nmn sna cla pupunta dun..ang excuses nng abscbn is pinaalalahanan nila c ces na pobre ang ASG ngayon at bka m kidnap cla..eh alam nmn pla nila that ders a possibility na m kidnap cla ces inutos-utusan pa nila ung tao na mg interview nng lider nng ASG and mgpapaalala pa cla qng asan nanduon na ung tao sa mindanao..eh khit aq nmn c ces andun na rin aq eh d itutuloy q n rin and istorya ang hanap q..qng ngkataon na d nkidnap cla ms ces drilon and kpg inilabas ung interview ni ms ces sa ASG mlamang tataas ang ratings nng abs-cbn..ms drilon is just doing her job na mapataas ung ratings nng abscbn..She was kidnapped bcoz of ABSCBN na ng-utos sa knya na mg interview ky Sahiron..u know wat ABSCBN biased kyo masyado as in super biased 2 the highest level..ang suspendehin nyo ung tao nyo dyan sa abscbn na sobra ang yabang.. c willie revillame suspendihin nyo kc ang yabang2 nya and bka nkakalimutan nyo na dhil sa show nya na bgay sa palengke mrami ang namatay..un ang suspendihin nyo hindi ung tao na ginagawa lng ang trabaho nila..
